If you're thinking of taking the Nets in the Finals at +350 or so....

I'd hold out for a +400 J Kidd Finals MVP prop.

Pretty hard IMO to imagine one happening without the other.

So far the oddsmakers have been very accurate..Nets 4-1 over the pistons..Spurs not over but 4-1 over Mavs who I believed to be very live dog..And now Spurs almost 4-1 over Nets..

I agree if the Nets win Kidd probably gets the MVP but +400 vs. +350 is not enough to risk it. You'd have to figure he'd be almost 90% to win MVP if the Nets won. It's at least conceivable that Kenyon Martin could have a huge series and win it.

Olympic (on Don Best) already has a line on Gm 1 regardless of who gets there to face the Nets.

Unless I was getting +1000 I would not play the Nets. The have ZERO chance of winning the series. At the same time, I'd take Duncan -700 to win the MVP of the finals. I know big dogs look nice but it would just be a waste of money here.

Seymour I stongly disagree... The Nets have a great chance to win it all. They are an experienced playoff team now with a great lineup of young talented players. I think the Nets and Spurs have the same chance of winning it all. Should be a great finals.

The one exception I see other than Kidd getting MVP if the Nets pull it off, is Kenyon Martin. If the Nets do defeat the Spurs (if they reach of course) , it will be largely because Kenyon's defense held Duncan in check, much like he has shutdown all others throughout the playoffs he has faced off against.

If Dallas without Nowitzki can beat em at home, the nets certainly have a shot.

If the Nets win, Kidd will be the MVP. The voters will fall in love with the numbers (like Jordan in his last championship - Rodman or Pippen should have won). The superstar will get the breaks. As an added bonus - we can see his kid again.
